Robert L'Hommedieu Miller was Minister Emeritus of the Unitarian Universalist First Church of Plymouth and Associate Professor of Religion Emeritus of Tufts University. His lifelong academic interest was the intersection between liberal religion, psychology, and education. He served in World War II, first in the medical corps and then as an infantry officer. He was the founder and for many years a board member of the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless. Of Scottish heritage, he learned to play the bagpipes at age 60.
