Submissions to Westar should be sent to Art Dewey, Editor-In-Chief and Chair of Westar’s Research and Publications Committee. Westar welcomes proposals for books aligned with its mission. Westar’s mission is to publish:

  • Up-to-date reference works and translations for biblical scholars, primarily in support of research on the origins of Christianity and the historical Jesus
  • Critical, scholarly books in line with Westar seminars addressing significant issues in theology, philosophy, and biblical studies
  • Books and periodicals that disseminate the results of critical scholarship on religion to the public
