Comment Moderation Policy

The Westar team recognizes that religion is a complex and controversial subject, and desires to sustain meaningful conversations about religion in society, especially conversations around the impact of new findings in early Christian history on modern social issues. Comments from the public are welcome on all posts. In joining the conversation, we ask you to keep the following comment moderation policy in mind. Please feel free to share your thoughts and opinions. However, off-topic comments and ad hominem (personal) attacks against individuals or Westar as an organization will be deleted.  You may share external links as long as they have a clear connection to the topic. Thank you.

“From its beginnings Westar has emphasized the importance of democratic conversation about religion, conversation that is informed, critical, and engaged. It has worked hard to break down the distance separating academic scholarship in universities and seminaries from the public controversies on burning issues surrounding the Bible, authority, and intellectual integrity.”
