Biography

Roy W. Hoover taught courses in ancient Greek, biblical history and literature, capitalism and socialism in theological perspective, and world religions. A Fellow of the Jesus Seminar since 1986, he wrote a number of the papers that served as the basis for the Seminar’s deliberations and has been a frequent participant in the Jesus Seminar on the Road Program. His published articles have appeared in Harvard Theological Review, Forum, The Fourth R, and Bible Review. In 1992, he received the Whitman College Award for Faculty Achievement. He holds a B.A. from Pasadena College and a Th.D. Harvard University.
