David Odell-Scott is Associate Dean and Professor of Philosophy at Kent State University in Ohio. Since 1998 he has co-directed the Ohio Pluralism Project, an affiliate of the Harvard Pluralism Project that explores the religious dimensions of America's new immigrant communities. Along with numerous academic projects, he has presented to 20+ church and community groups and worked with the US Department of State on diversity of religion. His book Democracy and Religion: Free Exercise and Diverse Visions was selected by the American Librarians Association as a Top Academic Title of 2004.
