 The Fourth R
Along with "reading, 'riting and 'rithmetic" religion
is the fourth "R" of basic literacy. Since 1987, Westar's popular magazine The Fourth R has published the latest thinking from religion scholars and writers — in non-technical language aimed at
a literate general audience. The Fourth R also includes early reports on Westar Seminar deliberations and the latest news on Westar events and programs. Annual subscription to The Fourth R

Forum
Forum,
the academic journal of the Westar Institute, publishes the scholarship emerging from Westar Institute Seminars, including the Jesus Seminar.
Included in the pages of the Forum are many of the Seminar Papers that inform the deliberations and conclusions of the Jesus Seminar. Recommended for scholars and advanced students of religion, Forum

Westar Seminar Papers
The Seminar Papers are the working papers of Westar Institute seminars. Prepared by scholars and distributed in advance of each semi-annual national
meeting, they form the basis for deliberations at Westar Seminars. The Seminar Papers are available by subscription or may be purchased individually in advance of Westar Meetings.
- An electronic subscription to the Seminar Papers is $25 a year. Please remember to include your email address to receive the papers electronically.
- A hardcopy subscription to the Seminar Papers is $45 in the U.S. and $50 outside the U.S.
