An active Fellow of the Jesus Seminar, Glenna Jackson
is involved in a variety of Westar projects. Her most recent sabbatical was spent teaching at Africa University in Mutare, Zimbabwe and her current research on New Testament parables parallels with
African cultures takes her to the Continent of Africa every summer. She is the author of a new monograph, "Have Mercy On Me": The Story of the Canaanite
Woman in Matthew 15.21-28 and several articles on women in the first century as well as the Gospel of Matthew. Prior to earning a Ph.D., Glenna
raised four children, had a private teaching studio for piano, organ, and harpsichord, and served as a director of Christian education and organist/handbell director at churches in Wisconsin and California.
